Snow, and lots of it

Just some fun stuff for a Friday — nothing history-related here.

Well snow is a big topic in the northern hemisphere these days.  I know the folks back home in the States are talking a lot about snow, and they are here in Europe as well.

I thought it would be fun today to tap into that great resource — Flickr — and see how people in Germany and Austria are sharing their snow experiences this week.

So here are photos from the capital cities of Germany and Austria: Berlin and Vienna.  The search parameters at Flickr were to show only photos since last Saturday and with the search terms “Schnee Berlin” and “Schnee Wien” (I was trying to get photos by locals instead of international tourists, so I used the German spellings of “snow” (“Schnee”) and Vienna (“Wien”).

VIENNA

Stay warm everyone!
